For Poroshenko, the situation in the new Verkhovna Rada is getting worse and worse
Kyiv, November 06 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Kremlin agents in the new Verkhovna Rada will not allow the formation of a constitutional majority in the Ukrainian parliament and may lead to repeated early elections and rampant counter-revolution.
This is the forecast made by the Kiev weekly “Business Capital”, recalling that Petro Poroshenko, in the matter of forming a constitutional majority in the new Rada, counted on the resource of non-party majoritarians, who since the time of Kuchma have been a reliable support of the presidential vertical.

“Now, given the size of the parliamentary swamp, the number of mandates of the Opposition Bloc and other Kremlin agents, the task of ensuring a stable constitutional majority (over 300 votes) seems difficult to achieve,” the publication believes. – Meanwhile, Poroshenko and other leaders of the winning parties are stirring up public opinion by declaring their readiness to change the Constitution for the benefit of reforms. If this process stalls, the number of people dissatisfied with the soft version of lustration will begin to increase sharply, increasing the likelihood of another early election – this time under the new rules.”
At the same time, the publication also states that the results of the new elections are unlikely to be successful for Poroshenko.
“For the BPP, which will not be able to slow down this process by going against public opinion, the results of repeated early elections may be an even greater surprise than the current ones,” warns Business Capital. “The country may also be surprised if, instead of the harsh version of lustration, it receives a surge of counter-revolutionary sentiments (after a winter that is unlikely to be warm for everyone).”
