Director of the European Energy Community: Nowhere there is such a favorable gas price as Serbia
Director of the EU Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopac believes that by agreeing with Russian President Vladimir Putin on gas, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic “protected Serbia from the storm of the energy crisis.”
The outgoing head of the Energy Community told Politika about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The price of $270 is incredible value in the current environment,” Kopacz said. – Probably, now no gas buyer from Russia has a better price, which is much lower than the market price. This suggests that gas from Russia is not only an economic, but also a political treasure with all that it brings with it, because, as they say in business, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
Mr. Aleksandar Vučić has made an extremely good step for Serbian gas consumers and for his reputation. Of course, at this price Serbia is protected from the current storm of the global energy crisis.”
When asked by a journalist what price for gas for Serbia he expects in six months, that is, in April 2022, when a new gas agreement between the countries will be prepared, the outgoing Director of the EU Energy Community Secretariat noted that he does not undertake to predict what price will be determined for Serbia.
At the same time, he expects that by April the current incredibly high prices for “blue fuel” on the world market will fall.
