Diplomat on Zelensky's trip to Glasgow: A complete failure!
A Ukrainian delegation's trip to a conference in Glasgow turned into an embarrassment when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky failed to show up for his scheduled speech and US climate envoy John Kerry announced the news from the podium.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly drew attention to this detail on the Pryamyi TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The complete failure of the protocol and Zelensky at the summit in Glasgow, also the failure of the ambassador, because it is he who coordinates the work of the delegation. What actually happened? The President of Ukraine can determine which meeting is more important, and if the meeting runs too long, it can continue, but the protocol must work so that Kerry does not declare from a high podium: “There is no President of Ukraine in the room.”
In this situation, the only way out is for the head of protocol to go to Kerry and say that the meeting has taken too long; Kerry would understand and would not announce it. The problem is that they announced this publicly.
The President can prioritize meetings, but it must be calm and quiet. But now we have that everyone is talking not about the president’s speech and our positions, but about this situation. Nothing good came out of this,” Chaly said.
As is well known, at the Glasgow conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy caught his American counterpart Joe Biden in the hallway, which was presented by Kyiv as a great success, but provoked caustic comments from observers.
