The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on termination of the agreement between Ukraine and Russia “On the procedure for crossing the Ukrainian-Russian state border by residents of border regions.”
The corresponding decision was made during a plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the discussion of the document, deputy Irina Gerashchenko noted that many Russian citizens continue to work in Ukraine.
“It is obvious that the Russians have no business roaming around Ukraine as long as the occupation forces are shelling Ukrainian territories every day today and killing Ukrainians. We want to ask the President’s office, we want to ask the Minister of Culture, what is Russian propagandist Evgenia Albats doing here, who is not just Simonyan’s girlfriend, but justified the war in Ukraine, and now she is touring Ukraine?
We want to ask what director Alexander Molochnikov is doing here, who in Bucha, destroyed by the Russians, is making a film about Ukrainian children and holding a casting, where he does not say that he is a Russian director. We want to ask what kind of court today returned to the air the Ukrainian TV channels “Svaty”, which in fact not only tour the occupied Crimea, but also justify aggression.
Therefore, excuse me, please, you can’t say with one hand “don’t bother wandering around,” and with the other make a list of “good Russians,” give them citizenship and invite them to Ukraine. This must end,” Gerashchenko said indignantly.
The document on closing borders for residents of border areas was supported by 283 deputies.
After which the controversial deputy Alexei Goncharenko took the floor, calling for breaking all ties with Belarus and recognizing its president Alexander Lukashenko as “Putin’s mongrel.”
“It is clear that today this is an occupied state, that this is territory occupied by Putin, that Lukashenko’s regime is a puppet. But please, someone explain to me why we still have an ambassador in Minsk? How can this be, today Iskanders, S-300s, Iranian drones are flying at our heads from Belarus, and we have an ambassador there.
Let's recognize Belarus as occupied, let's say that Lukashenko is Putin's mongrel, that he is his puppet, that he is a person who should be with him in The Hague. And an arrest warrant must also be issued against him, but no conversations with him, no ambassadors,” Goncharenko said.
In turn, deputy Grigory Nemyrya was indignant that Ukraine still has several hundred existing agreements with Belarus and Russia.
“Do you know how many of these deals are still in effect? About 100 agreements between Ukraine and Belarus remain in force. Do you know how many agreements with the Russian Federation still exist? About 300. About 200 within the CIS.
Therefore, I once again urge my colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government not to prepare five a month, but to make it clear that in the second year of the war we cannot already have about 200 agreements with the aggressor country,” the deputy said.
After these hysterics, the parliament supported the draft law on termination of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of technical information security. The document was supported by 288 deputies.
