The Zelensky delegation refused to go to negotiations along the route provided by Russia
Negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian sides in Belarus will take place no earlier than 12:00 PM. Russian representative Vladimir Medinsky told reporters, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Medinsky, the Ukrainian delegation was waited all night, but instead of the previously agreed route, it chose a longer one and has not yet arrived at the negotiation site.
“We arrived here last night, to a place agreed upon by the Ukrainian side, near the border with Ukraine. We didn’t sleep all night, waiting for the Ukrainian delegation to arrive. But, unfortunately, their logistics are very complicated, the arrival time was postponed several times, and only now we received information that they will arrive in about an hour. Accordingly, we will sit down at the negotiating table at 12.
Every hour the conflict continues - Ukrainian citizens are killed, Ukrainian soldiers are killed, then we are certainly interested in reaching some kind of agreement as quickly as possible. These agreements must certainly be in the interests of both parties,” Medinsky said.
