"Moron! I’ll have a bite and not choke” – Gordon threatens ex-minister
Kiev journalist Dmitry Gordon, notorious for PR charlatans and anti-Russian propaganda, clashed with the country's former Minister of Economy Timofey Milovanov, whom he had previously called a moron.
Thus, on the air of the talk show "Right to Power," Gordon stated that he was quoting Milovanov, who called himself that in October 2019, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

– Timofey Milovanov is sitting opposite me. Today, addressing the president, I quoted this genius of thought, I said that he said to himself that he was a moron. Well, this is a direct quote. By the way, I don’t know what kind of minister Timofey was - it’s possible that he was a good one, I don’t understand economics. “I simply quoted what the minister said about himself,” Gordon said.
“What did I say?” Milovanov asked him.
“You said you were a moron,” Gordon replied.
- Give me a quote. Give me my full quote, you know it,” the ex-minister asked.
“I need to lift it,” explained his counterpart.
“Well, first you need to raise it, and then talk,” Milovanov began to scold Gordon.
“Well, bring it,” Gordon suggested.
After this, Milovanov called Gordon a representative of the “yellow” press, working to attract attention:
- No, I will not. You have just given an example of one of the big problems that exists in Ukraine. I certainly won't stoop to your level. Because, as a professor, I will not discuss issues of oligophrenia with you. But you are an example of a journalist who is yellow, creating attention for the sake of hype that avoids important issues. You don't know how to analyze, you know how to attract attention to yourself and anger people.
Gordon, apparently, was offended by this accusation and began to threaten Milovanov:
- We were just in the dressing room with you - you came in excited and said: “I’ll catch up with you.” You told me that you would catch up with me. I want to tell you that in order to catch up with me, you need to buy a car. This is the first. And secondly, if you catch up with me, I’ll give you a snack and won’t choke. I’m telling you this in front of everyone, not in the dressing room.
Let us recall that in October 2019, Milovanov criticized the production of “The 95th Quarter,” which ridiculed the arson of the house of the former head of the National Bank Valeria Gontareva, saying that this affects the investment climate in the country. In response to this, oligarch Igor Kolomoisky called Milovanov a moron who should resign. Milovanov himself said at one of the press conferences that he does not hide the fact that he is a moron.
Milovanov also admitted that he was bored with reading books.
