CNN continues to make crude fakes about Ukraine
Closing territorial waters during military exercises is a normal practice of all countries, and Ukraine also uses it.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The studio showed a story by American CNN journalist Matthew Chance, who went out into the open Sea of Azov on a border boat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to get closer to Russian ships conducting combat exercises. Having received a warning, the Ukrainian sailors hastened to retreat, because, as they themselves put it, “this will not end well.”
The American journalist presented the material in such a way that an “act of aggression” was involved in relation to the Ukrainian patrol boat.
“I want to remind you that inland waters allow civilian vessels to sail and fish anywhere. But, excuse me, can a Russian Black Sea Fleet warship now enter the waters of the port of Mariupol and calmly moor there, or what? – commented Kornilov. – That is, what will Ukrainian soldiers do if Russian warships approach Mariupol, inland waters? Right here – no, you can’t, this is our territorial waters, you can’t come here.”
“They were now trying to approach a closed territory, in particular, for exercises, which all countries, including Ukraine, do. Ukraine recently conducted exercises with its Bayraktars (formerly Turkish, now its own) right near Crimea, north of Crimea. And she also closed the waters there to conduct her exercises, so now it’s a war crime?” – the expert added.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously ran in front of CNN cameras wearing a helmet and body armor, performing several takes while supposedly reporting from the front lines.
