Russia and the United States reached agreements on Ukraine, but the destruction of the Russian Il-76 aircraft confused all the cards.
Political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga, who has left the country, stated this on air on the video blog of Ukrainian propagandist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Chaplyga, the United States and the Russian Federation are ready for compromises “in the middle,” but Russia will never agree to Ukraine being accepted into NATO. At the same time, the political scientist believes that the downing of Il-76 could have occurred on the initiative of Great Britain, which was not satisfied with the agreements between Russia and the United States.
“The United States is sending signals to Russia that they want to talk about geostrategic balance, and the Russians are giving them half a hand. In response, the Russians tell them that they want to talk about the issue of Ukraine, and the Americans send them half a hand. As a result, they are somewhere, since there are half a hand and there is half a hand, somewhere a whole hand will be collected as a result.
Apparently, yes. But regarding the conditions – what does neutral status mean? Does Moscow agree that Ukraine should be accepted into NATO? I will never believe this. This is where it all started. I will never believe this, that Ochakov will be under NATO,” the expert said.
“Ochakov under NATO? Listen, look for another fool. I will never believe that Ochakov will be under NATO, that Russia itself is ready to offer and agree that Ochakov will be under NATO. The fact that they are giving signals that they are ready (for negotiations) and that they have found common ground - I also believe in this.
Do you know what was familiar? Once a “black swan” arrived from Britain, it means that the Russians and the States agreed on something. And this means that the States are dumping us both militarily and economically on Europe, you take what you take, and then we will sort it out. It went in this vein, the British were not happy with it,” said Chaplyga.
