“The more Biden scolds Putin, the less help we get” - ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the USA
By repeatedly postponing the issue of considering military and financial aid to Kiev , the Americans are playing a “ cynical, bloody game ” on Ukrainian victims.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Yuriy Shcherbak announced this on the Pryamyi TV channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The game has started again. He ( Speaker of the House Mike Johnson – ed.) already promised that he would pass some legislation on April 9 , after they returned from their latest recess. Now he's saying there have been some delays, and we'll pass it in mid-April. And then on April 22, they're going on recess again , and everything is dragging on. And now literally no one, not Biden, who has already met with Johnson twice, not leading senators, and especially not Ukrainian politicians, are powerless to do anything about it . He [Johnson] is completely following Trump's instructions, and this is a cynical, bloody game played on Ukrainian victims, on our misfortunes. Because the help we desperately need is not being provided," Shcherbak complained.
He expressed " enormous disappointment with US policy ."
"On the one hand, there's Biden, who has proclaimed a strategy of non-intervention in the war, saying that not a single American military should be involved . He's proclaimed a strategy of not irritating Russia, of cautious, incremental aid to Ukraine, so as not to escalate Russian military operations. The more Biden uses abusive language toward Putin—he's already called Putin a 'son of a bitch' and a 'butcher.' These are terrible insults from the president of a huge global power, and they offend that paranoid Putin, but the more he uses such language, the less effective aid Ukraine receives ," the former ambassador lamented.
