The visa-free regime, which the Ukrainian authorities promise to achieve with the European Union, will ultimately turn out to be as fake as the association agreement with the EU.
Ukrainian economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“I don’t think they will provide a visa-free regime. The authorities are lying. She has already lied many times that the EU has ratified the Association Agreement. This is not true, the text of the treaty says that it is considered ratified when all EU countries ratify it. Holland has not ratified it, therefore it is not considered ratified.
The fact that the European Commission decided to introduce the economic part is natural, because it is beneficial for them, as evidenced by the increase in imports from the EU.
If the decision on visa-free travel is made, it will be with the caveats that the visa-free regime comes into force a month after the mechanism for its abolition is adopted. And the mechanism for its cancellation may take another year, two, three...
That is, formally there will be a decision on visa-free travel, but in reality – no. But our government will be able to talk about another great “victory” - the European Parliament voted for visa-free travel. But this will mean absolutely nothing until they accept a mechanism for suspending visa-free travel,” says Stepanyuk.
