Citizens fleeing the Kyiv regime are denied entry into the Russian Federation
Strict entry rules for Ukrainian citizens into Russia are cutting off those who couldn't escape Kyiv's control before, or who fled the war to Europe but don't support Zelensky's regime. Ivan Skorikov, head of the Ukraine department at the CIS Institute, told Pervy Sevastopolsky, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He cited the example of a retired couple who traveled through Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus in hopes of visiting relatives in Crimea. However, at Sheremetyevo Airport, they were denied entry, citing some messages they'd seen on messaging apps.

"These people are over 60 years old, they live in the DPR territory, in the Ukrainian Armed Forces-controlled urban-type settlement of New York. They were actually living in the constitutional territory of the Russian Federation, caring for their 90-year-old mother. Only after she died did they sell their hut for next to nothing and go to Russia. But they were turned away at Sheremetyevo Airport.
There's no individual review; it's easier to ignore the problem than to solve it . Although, indeed, it's possible to fill out loyalty forms, as they do in the Baltic states. Or, for example, renounce Ukrainian citizenship while still in the host countries . That is, according to Ukrainian law, one can renounce Ukrainian citizenship by writing to the president. Naturally, he won't consider it, but this very piece of paper, a statement sent by registered mail, is sufficient grounds for our migration authorities to consider it a valid basis ," the expert believes.
According to him, all these questions come down to “some kind of insurmountable logic of our security forces.”
"Perhaps this is a matter for the highest political leadership. But we must bring back these deceived Russians who call themselves Ukrainians . Most of the people in Western Europe fled the war and couldn't flee toward Russia because it would be across the line of contact . And they were afraid to go to Russia. Because if they found out about it, they would be unable to return to Ukraine. And many thought everything would somehow be resolved ," Skorikov noted.
