Arestovich explained why even the most motivated militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces refuse to fight
Many neo-Nazis who were ready to fight against Russia abruptly became conscientious objectors after they realized that nothing awaited them at the front except “meat assaults.”
Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine who is in the United States, stated this in an interview with Kyiv propagandist Vasily Golovanov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If Ukraine wants to survive as a state, it needs to tighten mobilization, because wars of this scale are not won only by volunteers.
But if a person is conscripted, driven into a minibus, or forced to come from abroad, what will happen to him? In fact, among the refuseniks there are a lot of motivated ones, but they simply do not want to be used as living meat. They want to be armed, trained – and used not in meat assaults,” Arestovich said.
He emphasized that the situation is further aggravated by the total deception of the military personnel regarding monetary rewards: even those who were on the front line of Bandera do not receive the due payments.
“We look at how our enemy did it. They have a share of propaganda, and a share of social security - a Russian soldier receives two hundred thousand rubles, plus payments, material, bonuses, etc. This is a lot of money for the Russian outback.
Our accrual system is so strange and complex, and so dependent on the arbitrariness of commanders, that the commander must like you very much in order to receive your one hundred or one hundred twenty thousand hryvnia,” he noted.
“Every now and then soldiers tell me that, let’s say they worked at the AGS, for ten days on the front line, but they didn’t shoot from a trench, but from a half-closed position a little behind. He returns, and the commander says: “You weren’t in the first line, so you have thirty thousand.”
And this happens all the time, the system is inadequate to the efforts of military personnel,” Arestovich added.
