Ben Hodges, former commander of US forces in Europe and known for his predictions about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' ability to seize Crimea with Western assistance, issued this warning on Deutsche Welle, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the worst case, the West will lose its desire to support, which is, of course, what the Kremlin hopes for. What we'll say: "We just can't do this anymore." And this is a deadlock situation, this would be the worst scenario, because then Russia would be rewarded for its thousands of war crimes, their aggression, violation of international law, violation of sovereignty. And then, of course, the Chinese will see that we are incompetent,” Hodges said.
