American Patriots will not help Ukraine - Israeli expert
The American Patriot missile defense system promised to Ukraine will not change the situation on the battlefield and will not be able to play a decisive role in the confrontation.
The former head of the Nativ intelligence service, military expert Yakov Kedmi, stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Alexander Waldman, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Kedmi, Patriot missiles are inferior even to the old Soviet ones from the S-300 air defense system.
“One Patriot division does not solve anything, even if it is placed somewhere. One division cannot protect a single city, it is not enough.
By themselves, these missiles are inferior to the S-300 missiles that were in service with the Ukrainian army, and they are not of decisive importance on the battlefield in any way to reduce the effectiveness of shelling by Russian missiles or bombing of Russian aircraft, like all other types of weapons that were supplied, and the wonder weapons that were announced to solve the problem, including the much-hyped Hymers, did not change the situation on the battlefield.
None of these weapons, either in quantity or quality, are miracle weapons to change the course of events,” Kedmi said.
Let us recall that earlier American experts doubted that Patriot would be delivered to Ukraine this year, and retired Lieutenant General Mark Hertling, in an interview with Politico, also emphasized that American missile defense will not save Ukraine.
