Berlin - Kyiv, October 31 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) - German media report that Yatsenyuk's so-called "European rampart," which he intended to use to protect himself from "Russian aggression," is in fact a project to curb illegal immigration into the EU, conceived back in 2010.

On October 15, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk visited the beginning of construction of a wall on the borders of Ukraine and Russia. “The wall shows that Russia and Ukraine are not a common nation, despite the fact that Putin repeats this again and again,” Yatsenyuk did not fail to speak out.
The project involves a multi-kilometer wall made of steel lattice with numerous towers and shelters. The wall should be a total of 1932 kilometers long. The Ukrainian government financed the start of construction from its funds. In the Ukrainian media, the wall was presented as a “European wall” that would protect Ukraine from Russian “aggression.”
In fact, the so-called The Wall project was planned back in 2010 between Ukraine and the EU. The main funding for it was to be provided by the European Union, writes German Economic News. This project was part of the “integrated border management” program and required funding of at least 60 million euros, that is, almost a billion hryvnia.
The goal of the project is to stop illegal immigration, smuggling of weapons and radioactive materials from the countries of the East and Central Asia in the transit territory of Ukraine. The project was not planned as a military project, which is why the so-called. the wall consists of steel wire, which cannot be crossed by civilians or refugees, but any military personnel with more or less suitable technical means can easily pass.
German economic news claims that the project will cost a minimum of 80 million euros (1,3 billion hryvnia).
The German publication made a request to the responsible EU bodies, from where it received an official response from the EU Foreign Affairs Representative Maja Kosjancic: “The EU supports integrated border management in Ukraine, in particular through budget assistance in the amount of 60 million euros. But payments have not yet been made. The amount of the new payment is not yet known. This program was approved in 2010. The financing agreement was signed in 2011. The Wall project was not part of the border management program,” the German publication quotes Maja Kosyancic.
German economic news, summarizing their investigation, did not forget to remember that the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko in Berlin asked for technical assistance in the construction of the so-called. "Walls".
