Ukrainian airfields will be converted for NATO aviation
Ukraine must modernize its military airfields in order to receive and station NATO tactical aircraft.
Acting Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Arkady Vashutin announced this at the Ukraine 30 forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Vashutin, this is one of the main activities of the Ukrainian Air Force.
“The Air Force must have three priority groups of capabilities. The first is the ability to conduct air defense and repel an enemy air attack, the second is offensive fire, transport, reconnaissance capabilities and the third is the capabilities that provide the air force with organizational and technical intercompatibility with NATO forces...
The main areas of work are creating conditions for the basing of NATO tactical aviation, automated exchange of information with partners on the threat from the air, training troops according to uniform standards, increasing the combat capabilities of our military units and units, and carrying out joint missions,” Vashutin said.
