Chisinau residents lit candles on the cascading staircase in the park near Lake Valea Morilor (formerly Lake Komsomolskoye) and at the Military Glory Memorial, reports the AllMoldova portal.
Dozens of people with flowers came to the building of the Ukrainian Embassy in Moldova. There, too, candles were lit as a sign of memory and sorrow.
Point.md reports that protesters tied St. George's ribbons to the embassy gates, but employees of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Moldova later removed them.
