Zhirinovsky told Trump what else to call Russia
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky believes that US President Donald Trump was right when he allegedly justified the Russian ownership of Crimea by the fact that all residents of the peninsula speak Russian.
“The media report that Trump at a closed meeting called Crimea Russian because everyone there speaks Russian. This is an absolutely correct argument, because those who consider themselves Ukrainians speak Ukrainian and live mainly in the western regions. And not only the whole of Crimea speaks Russian, but also almost the entire Donbass, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk and even Kyiv. And we have been pointing out this for 25 years!” Zhirinovsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, US President Donald Trump allegedly told G7 leaders that Crimea is Russian because everyone living on the peninsula speaks Russian. This was reported by BuzzFeed News, citing two of its diplomatic sources.
