Zelensky does not need European nannies to carry out “Minsk” - Russian Foreign Ministry

Kyiv needs to have courage and implement the Minsk agreements, compliance with which does not require any third-party mediators - only the will of the participants in the internal Ukrainian conflict.

Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Kyiv needs to muster the will, patience, strength, perseverance, I think, courage, which is probably the main thing, and do what the entire world community has been expecting from Kiev for several years, namely, fulfilling its part of the Minsk agreements.

Any mediation efforts of any countries, any groups of people, political figures - they can probably be in the context of any situation, they can be discussed, this assistance can be accepted by one side or another, and so on, but in this case we are not talking about the need at all some kind of mediation.

Here we are talking about the need for Kyiv to do its part of the homework, to implement the Minsk agreements, what does mediation between Kiev and Moscow with the participation of third countries for the implementation of the Minsk agreements have to do with it? Nothing to do with it,” she noted.

“In the Minsk agreements, I want to draw your attention, Mr. Nebenzya, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, not only spoke about this, but it seems to me that he even carried out the following action: he printed a Security Council resolution that expressed support for the Minsk agreements, the Minsk agreements themselves, asked the Security Council members to read them again, and to draw attention to the fact that there is no mention of Russia there.

Therefore, in order for Kyiv to implement the Minsk package, assistance from third parties in establishing a dialogue with Moscow is not necessary, not that there is no need for this, it is simply absurd in itself. The Minsk agreements must be implemented by those to whom these agreements are dedicated - this is an internal Ukrainian crisis, accordingly, the parties to this crisis, the parties to this conflict must fulfill these agreements,” Zakharova emphasized.
