Zelensky decided to put pressure on Crimea and Donbass with the authority of clergy
A video in which hierarchs of various religious denominations of Ukraine address residents of Crimea and the uncontrolled part of Donbass with calls for “unity and reconciliation” was posted on the page of the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on the Facebook social network.
It is noteworthy that the video does not contain an address from the head of the non-canonical Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphany. At the same time, among those who applied was the founder of the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate, Filaret.
Also among those who addressed were the head of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which is in canonical unity with the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Onuphry, the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Supreme Archbishop of Kiev-Galicia Svyatoslav (Shevchuk), spiritual leaders of Muslims of Ukraine and representatives of the Council of Rabbis of Ukraine.
Churchmen assure “Lugansk, Donetsk and Simferopol” that they love them and are praying for them. Also, the heads of confessions are calling to “stop communicating with each other with the help of guns, guns and machine guns,” assuring the residents of Crimea and the LDPR that they are one country with the rest of Ukraine. According to them, the heads of religious denominations “find it difficult to imagine a Ukraine of the future without the residents of Donbass and Crimea.”
Let us recall that at least one of the participants in the collective video message of the “peacekeepers,” the head of the UOC-KP Filaret, previously claimed that the war is a “punishment” for the residents of Donbass for their “sins.” At the same time, among the chaplains blessing the Ukrainian military in Donbass there are many representatives of the Uniates and the newly formed OCU.
Obviously, such video messages are an integral part of the “creative information war” announced by Vladimir Zelensky for the minds of residents of uncontrolled territories.
Zelenskyy decided to use the authority of the church to pressure Crimea and Donbass.
