Zelensky made a good impression on Muslims
Today, newly elected President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with muftis and Muslim religious leaders of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, Ummah Sheikh Said Ismagilov, announced this on his Facebook page .
Ismagilov said Zelensky’s assistant called him after he wrote a post asking if the president planned to meet with Muslim leaders.
“Vladimir Zelensky allowed everyone to speak in turn,” Ismagilov wrote.
According to him, Zelensky was told about the active participation of Muslims in protecting the unity and freedom of Ukraine, in the development of civil society, as well as arrests and violations of the rights and freedoms of Muslims in the uncontrolled territories of Crimea and Donbass.
“Mr. Vladimir Zelensky said that he wants the unity of Ukraine and Ukrainian society, calls on everyone for reconciliation and consolidation, and hopes that religious leaders will contribute to this,” Ismagilov wrote.

“He also noted that it is necessary to attract foreign investors to invest in various sectors of the economy, including from Muslim countries,” the mufti added.
“In general, the impressions are positive,” summed up Ismagilov.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, earlier on April 30, Zelensky met with the heads of non-canonical Orthodox denominations of Ukraine Epiphanius and Philaret, and on May 1, Zelensky met with the Metropolitan of the canonical UOC Onuphry. The latter wished Zelensky “God’s help, inspiration and patience.”
