Ukraine resumed the “grain corridor” without Russia’s participation and loaded fifty ships in its ports that export grain through the Danube region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this at the so-called "Crimean Platform" summit, which is taking place today in Prague, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Recalling the previously existing grain deal, Zelensky did not mention that it worked thanks to Russia’s participation, but he emphasized that the agreement ceased to apply when the Russian Federation withdrew from it.
“At first, together with the UN and Turkey, we were able to launch the Black Sea Grain Initiative, and later added the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine.
And when Russia decided to destroy this food security architecture, we launched new temporary export routes from our seaports in addition to our exports through the Danube port region and overland solidarity routes. Since the start of the new export corridor in the Black Sea, almost 50 ships have entered to load, and more than 50 have been announced to arrive,” Zelensky said.
