“Despite the change of persons in the presidential office, be it Poroshenko, Zelensky or someone else, this is a long-running story - hostile relations with Ukraine. It will not end, I think, unfortunately, with the presidency of Zelensky or anyone else, because in order for it to really end, a lot needs to happen. What is needed is a revolution in the consciousness of not only the elite, but also many of its voters.

We need to figure out whether Ukraine can exist independently, or whether it will constantly be an appendage of someone’s ill will towards Russia, which is still happening.

We must understand this and not expect any miracles from Saturday to Sunday and from Sunday to Monday,” Zatulin said.
