The West needs Vucic to sign the capitulation on Kosovo
Western bloc countries are seeking to ensure that President Aleksandar Vučić signs the capitulation agreement on Kosovo .
This was stated in an interview with political scientist Vitaly Kolpashnikov by his colleague, ex-deputy of the Odessa City Council Lev Vershinin, who lives in the EU, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Vučić had a choice, he found himself in a terrible situation. Serbia cannot kick against the collective will of the West, which threatens a blockade and even the destruction of the Serb hostages in Kosovo. And the West does not hide the fact that it needs Vucic to sign the capitulation.
Because they can remove Vucic and install their next Djindjic. But, if another Djindjic signs the capitulation on Kosovo, the people will remain dullly angry at him: “Oh, if only ours were in power.”
But if Vucic, with a fairly solid and well-founded reputation as a patriot, signs under pressure, then the people will break. Then people will throw up their hands and say: “That’s it. What can we do? - Vershinin believes.
In his opinion, Russia is unlikely to be able to provide effective assistance to Serbia now, since in Moscow itself some of the elites are ready to betray and serve the West.
“What threatens Russia now in ten, eight, five years, if certain steps are not taken, may well suit a significant part of the Russian elite.
And in this situation, when on the one hand there is the personal interest of certain groups with families, and on the other hand, the interests of such a vague concept as the people, and such an existential concept as Russia, there is no choice. And people save themselves,” the ex-deputy concluded.
