Western tanks and armored vehicles turned out to be too overrated - military correspondent
The vaunted Western tanks that Ukraine received for the offensive turned out to be too overrated. As practice has shown, they have a lot of shortcomings and burn well.
Russian war correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“They had great hopes, they were drooling excitedly about these “Leopards”, about “Bradleys”. Now it’s even a little funny to remember these experts who shouted that the Leopard is an incredibly durable vehicle, because in our tanks the soldiers sit on the ammunition rack, there is a carousel there and the ammunition rack is in the hull, so it is very vulnerable. And you see, what is the advantage of the Leopard? They placed the ammunition in the turret and a special tail compartment, which hangs like a huge fool from behind. He fires back, so the crew always remains alive.
But at the same time, everyone forgot what these battles showed - these towers are huge, they are an excellent target, easy to aim at. It turns out that it’s two to three times the area of our tank,” the military correspondent noted.
Khairullin also emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers are much more eager to hunt for Russian equipment and, first of all, are saving their tanks that they inherited from the Soviet Union.
“At the beginning of this counter-offensive, our media also tried to sell a narrative that Ukrainians were doing their best to save Western equipment. But in fact, I know that on the battlefield it is completely different, the Ukrainians are frantically trying to save our Soviet equipment. In general, they are wildly hunting our tanks with all their might. They get a T-80 as a trophy - this is a great achievement for them, they put a whole unit there to capture at least one tank from us,” he said.
Western tanks and armored vehicles are overpriced, says military correspondent.
