Western NGOs use Overton window technology in Serbia
Various American "public" foundations annually pour huge sums into the formation of the so-called "civil society" in Serbia.
Anton Davidchenko, coordinator of the analytical center of the Agency for Social Engineering, announced this today at a press conference in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Currently, amounts have been allocated for the creation of media. The opposition claims that they are not given access to television channels. In fact, they are invited to go on air, but they find formal excuses. The main platform for them is social media. In controlled media, this information will be voiced with the help of experts,” Davidchenko said.
According to him, Western NGOs use the “Overton window” technology in Serbia, which made it possible to change public opinion even on such a sensitive issue as the 1999 NATO bombing.
“Over the last 10 years they have managed to shift their focus. We saw the former head of NATO come and speak, which was previously unthinkable. He says this was done for the benefit of the Serbs, to remove dictator Milosevic. Each campaign is carried out in Serbia to change the focus. Gay parades are already taking place there calmly, although Serbia is a patriarchal country,” the expert noted.
According to him, just like in Ukraine, Western funds finance Serbian fan groups.
“In fact, they are an aggressive force in any protest actions. This is necessary to apply force at the right moment,” Davidchenko said.
