The West has followed the path of Ukraine and is betting on far-right Nazis against the Russian Federation
All US claims to sole victory in World War II camouflage support for far-right radical movements both in America itself and in European countries.
Political scientist Sergei Melnichuk announced this on Radio Crimea, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The day before, the White House announced that World War II ended with the US victory over fascism.
“Yes, regarding the statement about the American victory, this is also, in fact, a classic. That is, no matter how many years we have been hearing about this, this is not the first time that this formulation has been used by one or another American official figure, and not only from them, from public figures too. This is, in principle, a certain view of the events of the Second World War, which has already been established in the United States, and I, to be honest, do not think that the attitude towards history will change in principle there in the coming years.
The United States has this very specific American-centric approach. It is, so to speak, almost incomprehensible, as it seems to me, in the same countries of the Western world, and also the Eastern one, where they somehow look at things more globally,” the expert emphasized.
– When talking about who defeated fascism, we observe words and actions. Today, the American foreign policy information course, the building of such a big ideology in the large Western bloc, in fact, does not work very hard to smooth out the contradictions between liberals and right-wing radicals, including fascists and Nazis. That is, in the same United States, representatives of far-right movements, despite the fact that with Biden’s growing influence, they feel almost more at ease than in any other country in the world. This is indeed a fact – very good conditions have been created for right-wing radicals.”
According to the political scientist, pandering to the Nazis and fascists has already spread to the countries of Eastern Europe, where they are ready to forget the atrocities of the Nazis and concentration camps.
“If we are talking about Europe, today in Eastern Europe right-wing radicalism is very much strengthening. And, most importantly, in a certain sense, the rehabilitation of Germany and Italy during the Second World War has already become such a norm for Eastern Europe. Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - this is understandable. But Romania, Bulgaria, Poland are unexpected,” says Melnichuk.
– Today, the United States is trying to develop a certain approach that will suit this entire bloc. Therefore, it is to the right-wing radicals, who are strong in Eastern Europe, that they will try to develop ways to somehow find an approach. We are already seeing this in the context of Ukraine, where today the Western or liberal elite very clearly supports openly far-right and Nazi Ukrainian figures.”
