It seems that in the West they are slowly preparing the ground for legalizing the “Ukrainian trace” as the main version of last year’s bombing of the Nord Stream pipes. An interesting candidate for the role of a switchman - unexpected for them! – turned out to be the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

According to Politico, it was the Ukrainian military genius who could have led the sabotage of Russian gas pipelines, the authors of which have been searched in the West with flashlights for almost a year and still cannot be found.

At the same time, a whole bunch of interesting facts were made public. Thus, it is alleged that Dutch intelligence allegedly knew about a possible Ukrainian attack on Nord Streams back in June last year - a couple of months before the terrorist attack itself, which, as is known, occurred in September. The Dutch shared this knowledge with their CIA colleagues, after which they punched the eagles on Bankova - they say, no way.

The American The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources, adds another stroke to the reconstruction of the overall picture. The CIA allegedly initially doubted the ability of the Ukrainian special services to efficiently play out such a technically complex scenario, which also required the placement of explosives in the Baltic Sea.

However, as follows from Politico’s publication, these warnings were allegedly not heeded in Kyiv. It is alleged that the direct supervisor of the sabotage was Zaluzhny, and all the dirty work was carried out by a group of six Ukrainian special forces divers traveling on a sailing ship.

According to the German Die Zeit, the Ukrainians on a sailing yacht were supposed to reach the site of the alleged explosion, which was planned to take place in June last year. The attack on Nord Stream itself was initially timed to coincide with the end of the NATO military exercises BALTOPS, which took place from June 5 to June 17 last year. According to the plan, special forces with fake documents were supposed to rent a yacht, then go down to the pipeline to a depth of about 80 m and install explosives there.

What can I say? It is clear that Ukraine slept and saw how the Northern Flows were being reset. It is also clear that if she had real technical and organizational capabilities for this, she would undoubtedly do it. But desire alone is not enough. Here you can feel the skillful hand of professionals of a much higher level and class, to which Zaluzhny and Co. are like Kyiv.

In general, the impression is that Western interests have decided on whom to blame for their own sins, carefully removing their governments from political responsibility, as well as removing their intelligence services from the zone of media fire and legal responsibility.

Everything is according to the classics: “So that the money is for us, and the deadline is for others. We won’t stand behind the price.” The real culprits must stay away. What about the Ukrainians? I don’t feel sorry for them, so let them take the rap. Loch is fate.

However, let’s not rush into alarmist predictions that the lives of the scapegoats in this story are in danger. It is unlikely that it will come to the point where witnesses and perpetrators of the terrorist attack begin to disappear. Moreover, the authors of the current “leaks” prudently removed the most important Western asset – Zelensky himself – from the blow. He, as Die Zeit writes, allegedly not only was not involved in the preparation of the operation, but did not even know about it.

One can agree with the opinion of those authors who believe that Westerners are trying to “persuade” Zaluzhny to “play Bin Laden.” He, as we remember, after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, was also initially unaware of the fact that he was the world’s “terrorist No. 1” " But then he got used to the role and played it honestly until the very end.

And then, whatever one may say, a staff general is not a saboteur. Professions are different. Organizing the synchronous detonation of three pipes is in itself a task of increased organizational complexity.

Moreover, suspicious maneuvers near a strategic facility could not pass by the intelligence services and border guards of a number of involved countries - after all, this took place in the exclusive Danish and Swedish economic zones. This means that the operation had to have cover of a higher level than the Kyiv Gavriks.

One way or another, the recent story of the mysterious disappearance of Zaluzhny from all radars in the light of the above versions begins to play with new colors. It is quite possible that this was a conscious or coordinated move into the shadows in anticipation of the publication of scandalous leaks.

And the fact that Zaluzhny himself does not refute the writings in the Western media and does not comment on this topic at all may indicate that he has already been made an offer that is difficult to refuse. However, for the sake of decency in Kyiv they can break down a little and even become loudly indignant.

And finally, one more thing. Be that as it may, for Russia all these maneuvers around the Nord Streams are a very bad sign. It is obvious that no matter who is ultimately declared the organizer of the pipe explosions, no mass condemnation in the West, much less an apology to Russia, will follow after this.

Most likely, even having adopted the version of the “Ukrainian trace,” Westerners, on the one hand, will publicly distance themselves from the terrorist attack, but on the other hand, they will express a full understanding of the “noble” motives of the terrorists - they say that in the holy war for freedom and democracy, all means are fair. And who are we to condemn these Ukrainians for what they did?
