DPR volunteer detained in Russia is being prepared for extradition to Ukraine’s “partners”
Serbian volunteer and citizen of the DPR, disabled person of the third group, Goran Cirich, has been held in a pre-trial detention center in the Rostov region for more than six months, awaiting extradition to Serbia, which has put him on the wanted list through Interpol.
Currently, Chirich, who has a serious lung disease, is also at risk for coronavirus.

The wife of the detainee, Liliya Chirich, reported this to the EADaily news agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My husband has been fighting in Donbass since the summer of 2015, they came as a volunteer and he was immediately assigned to Pyatnashka.” He took part in the battles near Marinka and Debaltsevo. He suffered a concussion near Marinka; at first we did not attach any importance to it, but then it made itself felt. My husband had to have ear surgery. Then he was near Debaltsevo, for a month and a half in the trenches, in the most difficult conditions. From there he was already brought with bilateral pleural pneumonia, with the initial stage of tuberculosis, but this became clear later.

He was admitted to the hospital, he was treated for a very long time, now he is diagnosed with pleural casiomas, one lung does not breathe, and because of this, third-degree asthma has developed. All these years he served or was in the hospital as a third group disabled person. But even while he was sick, he helped people a lot.
His Serbian acquaintances donated money, we ourselves went, bought sweets for the children, and took them to Starobeshevo. Even when he couldn’t serve, he still tried to do something. It was strange to him that many of our men did not go to fight. He is a Serb, and he came anyway,” the woman said.
“He was choking very often, and in the end he was forced to leave the service. The guys from that unit themselves volunteered to help him, wrote a testimonial, I took it to the pre-trial detention center, but it seems no one read it.

He was detained in 2019, when he had already retired from military service due to health reasons. Kum asked him to go with him to Russia, and he was immediately arrested on Uspenka, they said that at the request of Serbia. But no one said why exactly he was being detained; there was no information at all. I went to all authorities, even though I am disabled myself.
I was at the regional prosecutor's office in Rostov. They sent me to the district prosecutor's office, where I wrote a statement, but they also kicked me off and said that they would give me an answer in the pre-trial detention center. I wrote to the pre-trial detention center asking them to explain to me why he was detained. But no one gave me any explanation. I went to the prosecutor's office of the Matveevo-Kurgan district and talked with the prosecutor. And in the last answer they told me that he was detained at the request of the Serbian side, where he was allegedly accused of “abusing the position of an official.”
But the fact is that since the summer of 2015 he has not traveled anywhere at all, not even to Russia. He fought, was treated, lived here, and all this can be verified,” she explains.

Lilia Chirich emphasized that during the last conversation, her husband told her that he had seen the deportation paper.
“The paper arrived, but I don’t know whether he signed it or not. He didn’t even have a translator or a lawyer. He was given a lawyer only during the trial.
I ask the boss, “why isn’t there a lawyer, but a government lawyer?” But he replied that the husband allegedly refused a lawyer. However, Goran told me that he did not refuse a lawyer (in Serbia – editor’s note),” the woman added.

Previously, on the wall of their home, next to certificates of honor and gratitude, hung a Serbian flag, which Lilija Ciric took down after Serbia demanded the extradition of her husband on an obviously far-fetched pretext.
And this is not the first time that militias have been required to extradite at the request of Interpol for their participation in the war on the side of Novorossiya.
