Yushchenko is going to modernize the Minsk process
Ukrainian politicians are speculating on the topic of the Minsk negotiations and the need to move the negotiation site to another location.
This was stated by the former Ukrainian president, Viktor Yushchenko, who was recently appointed as the country's representative at the Minsk negotiations, in an interview with the Belarus 1 television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the Minsk negotiation platform needs modernization, since not a single point of the signed agreements to resolve the crisis in Donbass has been implemented.

“A significant part of the political community today proceeds from the fact that Minsk is doing its job. On the other hand, it needs modernization to continue. The events of the last four years, when we failed to resolve any of the ten points that were included in the Minsk process... But this is politics. I think in politics there are classes, there are leaders, chiefs. Some move forward through their wisdom, while others, critics, are very often incompetent. Well, it’s generally easier to criticize than to create, so I, frankly, am not surprised by this,” Yushchenko said.
Earlier, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Volodymyr Yelchenko, stated that Ukraine should abandon the Minsk negotiating platform and reconsider its relations with Belarus and other CIS countries due to their votes at the UN against Ukrainian initiatives.
In Minsk, these statements were left on the conscience of Ukrainian politicians.
PolitNavigator reported that Moscow will not allow Minsk to be replaced by Astana as the negotiating platform.
Ridus noted that one of the key topics of the Russian Foreign Minister's speech at the recent UN General Assembly was Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
