Yalta parking lots brought the budget 10 times more money after getting rid of parking attendants
In Yalta, after the introduction of automatic payment, income from parking increased 10 times.
While the municipal enterprise previously reported revenues of 450 rubles per year, after automation, it now exceeds 5 million rubles, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, boasted about her income from parking. On her initiative, municipal parking was free for almost a year while a new system was being developed and installed. It went live in September 2021. For passenger vehicles, one-hour parking in Yalta costs 50 rubles, for freight vehicles – 100 rubles.
“This year, the city budget received over 5 million rubles from paid municipal parking. Let me remind you that in 2019, the city earned only 450 thousand from paid parking. We started developing a new parking payment system at the end of 2020, and before the implementation of this system in September last year, all parking was temporarily free,” Pavlenko noted. – Parking attendants in vests are a thing of history, and with them the gray schemes. Every ruble goes into the budget, and this is a great opportunity to improve the city. Let's move on. This year there are no longer 23, but 35 parking lots, and in the next 3 years there will be even more.”
The resort city’s task is to arrange several intercepting parking lots at the entrance to Yalta, since the main flow of tourists travels by personal vehicle. But vacationers often do not understand that they are parking in a paid parking lot, because there are not enough indicating signs. The fine for non-payment of a parking space in Crimea was set at 1 thousand rubles.
