Ukrainian formations organized a successful local offensive in the Kherson region.

“Over the last three days and two nights, the Ukrainian side has taken a special approach to selecting targets for launching HIMARS MLRS strikes against Russian Armed Forces targets in the Kherson region. Also in the area of the Ingulets River, the work of enemy reconnaissance units was repeatedly noted, including by crossing the Ingulets River in boats.
That night, after another HIMARS strike, the enemy made a breakthrough in several directions. They were involved in up to three erected crossings, which failed to hit. The advance of the enemy was also carried out with the support of a tank fist with a force of up to a company. The work of enemy aviation, at least helicopters, was noted.
Three of the enemy’s successful attacks ended. One of the successful ones was from the Andreevka-Lozovoye direction, as a result of which the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced almost 6 kilometers and occupied the village of Sukhoi Stavok,” the publication notes.
It is clarified that an unsuccessful breakthrough attempt for the Ukrainian Armed Forces took place in the northeast direction in the area of the settlements of Lyubimovka, Mirolyubovka, Dobryanka, Olgino, Potemkino and Vysokopolye, where paratroopers and brigades of the Black Sea Fleet fought back.
“But the enemy does not give up trying to encircle our forces in Vysokopolye, fortunately, without success. According to already proven tactics, it is possible to use territorial defense forces for assault missions, and enemy volunteer battalions for clearing operations.
In general, it is too early to talk about more precise advances and rollbacks, the situation is developing with varying success for each of the parties. It can be said for sure that the enemy approached the issue not with a bang, but with all confidence in his abilities. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to gain a foothold and create a foothold in one of the broken sections. The enemy is waiting for the approach of forces. Their main maneuvers to bring forces into position will probably be carried out after dark.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also tried to go on the offensive in the neighboring Nikolaev region, but failed.
“But in the Snigirevsky sector, the Russian troops are doing well: the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to counterattack in the direction of Blagodatnoye, but having lost two infantry fighting vehicles and about 10 infantry, they rolled back,” writes Rybar.
