The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched another offensive. We hit the first line of defense
On the southern flank, Ukrainian formations continue to try to push through Russian defenses in the Zaporozhye region.
The Ukrainian military public page “Dnipro+” claims that there is no real offensive, but admits serious losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during yesterday’s battles.

“According to some information, the assault was carried out by the new 31st Separate Mechanized Infantry Brigade; previously, the new 46th Mechanized Infantry Brigade worked in this area.
Personnel of Ukrainian equipment appeared on the territory of Rivnopol, 10 units of equipment were abandoned or destroyed. Of course, the news is bad; most likely, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are “groping” the Russian defense; we need to find out how the Russians will behave in the event of such an assault. During the assault, unfortunately, we left 10 units of equipment on the battlefield. There was also a tank battle in Novodarovka, the enemy was driven off quite well, but that was all.
Similar battles take place along the entire front every day, it’s just that this incident was inflated into a “counter-offensive,” the public believes.
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov reports that fighting in the Zaporozhye direction has resumed.
“Pubic and Foal. One Ukrainian attack was repulsed, our guys knocked out enemy equipment. Now the second attack has begun. Again the Ukrainian Armed Forces are throwing their armor forward. There is something and someone to beat her with. This happens east of the Kakhovka Reservoir. The enemy is climbing, if in a straight line, towards Melitopol.
The defense line there is multi-layered, like a good honey pie. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have no prospects. But the guys who are now fighting in Lobkovo and Zherebyanki are not even allowed to the enemy’s advanced trenches,” says Sladkov.
He further said that the Ukrainians were collecting their dead and wounded and leaving.
“Against the backdrop of attempts at another, second breakthrough in Zaporozhye, to the east, near Orekhovo (the attack was also repulsed with damage to the Ukrainian Armed Forces), we can say that the enemy is trying to break through our defenses both in the direction of the Sea of Azov and in the direction of the Donetsk-Mariupol highway ( Ugledar), and near Bakhmut. This is a clear intensification of offensive actions (the same “counter-offensive”?)
But! There is no single strike. But you can’t pierce the front “flat”. So the conclusion suggests itself is this: where the Ukrainian Armed Forces pierce the front, well, wherever they are lucky, there, with their eyes closed, desperately, not paying attention to our blows, they will throw all their strength and try to make a deep push into our rear.
Well, if they broke through (I doubt it), then the Ukrainian Armed Forces immediately have a lot of worries:
- how to strengthen the flanks of a breakthrough so that they don’t get caught in the cauldron,
- with what (and with whom) to fill a captured bridgehead, to break through, that’s one thing, but how to communicate between the rear and the front, under a hail of missiles?
This brings me to another question: do they want a powerful breakthrough in Kyiv? So, hand on heart? No, if things go well for them, they will make a breakthrough, but what next?” notes the military correspondent.
At the same time, in PS he added that while he was writing, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a third attack on Lobkovoe, Zherebyanki and Kamenka.
“Now they will be beaten...” predicts Sladkov.
Military correspondent Semyon Pegov's TG channel Wargonzo confirms the repulse of the attack, indicating that "this afternoon, simultaneously from two directions - from Orekhov and Malaya Tokmachka - the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted an offensive."
“It is reliably known that one Ukrainian Armed Forces tank was destroyed in the area of the village. Kopani. In addition, south of Malaya Tokmachka, helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed several units of enemy armored vehicles, after which he rolled back, possibly to regroup,” writes Pegova’s channel
Military correspondent Evgeny Lisitsyn does not rule out that the ultimate goal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack “could be a breakthrough of the Russian defense and access to the Melitopol highway.”

“But so far the enemy has not even managed to approach our positions,” adds Lisitsyn.
Member of the Russian Military Administration of the Zaporozhye region Vladimir Rogov shared details of the battle for Lobkovoe.

“This morning the enemy fired from hailstones at the settlement of Pyatikhatki, and at the same time brought down a barrage of fire, including the use of aviation, at the settlement of Lobkovoe. Our fighters, taking advantage of the terrain and maneuverability of the defense, launched the enemy in equipment (up to 4 combat vehicles) into Lobkovoe and defeated them with ATGMs and artillery.
Only one Nazi car managed to escape. The rest were destroyed. Having suffered losses of at least 15 militants, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated to their original positions,” Rogov wrote.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched another offensive. They've hit the first line of defense.
