“The war has come to the house”: Moscow residents are urged to change their lifestyle
Modern air defense systems are not capable of responding to small UAVs, and it was only a matter of time before Kiev used them against Moscow and the Kremlin. There is no place for panic here - this is war.
This opinion was expressed on air by expert and columnist for the publication Arsenal Otechestva, Dmitry Drozdenko, on the YouTube channel Tsargrad TV, as reported by a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“As you remember, it all started with “Geranium”, which was once an Iranian design, in general, “Shahids”, which then started production here. And it was only a matter of time before similar weapons began to be used in other places. First of all, on Iran itself, most likely from Israel,” the expert noted.
– It is natural to assume that Ukraine is developing similar things of the same class of drone. Judging by one of the videos, it is very similar to the Ukrainian-made UGG22 Airboard, however, only, let’s say, the glider is Ukrainian, the rest is Western and American, all navigation systems and similar electronics come from there.
Even the explosives, I think there are about 20 kg there, are also most likely not of any Ukrainian origin. So it was purely a matter of time.”
Drozdenko believes that Russian air defense cannot guarantee protection against such drones.
“I said that there is no ideal air defense system. Our air defense system is one of the best on the planet, but it is not perfect. An attacker will always find a loophole. The American air defense system in factories with audio frames could not cope with exactly the same raid, but everything there was from Patriot and the like,” Drozdenko emphasized.
– Moscow is protected from more serious targets. These are cruise missiles, these are ballistic missiles, that is, the air defense system interacts weakly with such small targets. This is not a problem for our country - this is a worldwide problem; a new class of cheap weapons has appeared.
Judging by the size, but we need to look at the wreckage, about the same one fell in our Moscow region, it was dropped by electronic warfare. Its range somewhere in automatic mode can reach 1,5 thousand kilometers, that is, draw your own conclusions.
Before this, a large number of different drones were launched that went in different ways to the Moscow region and somewhere else. Naturally, they followed a certain route, and at that moment Western radar reconnaissance aircraft tracked where our air defense tracking stations were turned on, where some objects were being defended, how quickly the system operated, that is, they looked for loopholes.
It’s clear that it wasn’t Ukraine who just took it and let it go, and no matter how Blinken rolls his eyes, he knows everything perfectly well.
Why am I saying all this - I’m saying so that there is no panic, what happened, but how did it happen? Unfortunately, there is a war going on, we shoot there, they shoot at us. That is, we must finally, as a society, realize that there is no peacetime, that’s all.
Because some part of us is still really in euphoria, and another part of the population, let’s say, likes all sorts of explosions and, roughly speaking, Ukrainian terrorism and the like. We, after all, as a society must unite, we are not at war with Ukraine, we are at war with the entire West.”
According to the observer, this should be expressed in everyday affairs, where assistance to volunteer organizations or direct participation in their work will take its place.
“The first thing is to be vigilant and not succumb to provocations, not to repost any of these nasty things. This is the minimum a person can do.
Next, what can he do - join volunteer movements, I don’t know, weave networks, give part of his salary, again, to military personnel. It is constantly needed, even considering that some officials said that our army has everything. Then why do volunteer organizations exist?
That is, everyone should contribute in some way they can, and not think about how to gobble up an extra Big Mac at this “Delicious, period,” or somewhere else, and think about the morning cappuccino. The war has come to the house,” Drozdenko concluded.
