"We're bleeding without Zaluzhny!" - Lutsenko summed up the results of 2024 for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
2024 will be marked as the year of surrendering territories, since the team of the expired President Zelensky did not want to listen to the conclusions of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny after the failed “counteroffensive-2023”.
This was stated on the channel “Raznye Lyudi” by the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, who participated in the military operations as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a correspondent for “PolitNavigator” reports.
“2024 is a very difficult defense with a creeping Russian offensive, due to the fact that the Ukrainian government did not do what should have been done in 2023. After Zaluzhny’s famous article about the need to change all approaches to war, nothing was done, the general was ridiculed and then dismissed.
As a result, we are fighting the same way we fought in 2022 and 2023, and this does not work in the conditions of a complete change in the behavior of the occupying Russian army. Our troops are bleeding, holding the enemy, but nevertheless, gradually losing ground.
The rear is unbalanced, the absence of a domestic military-industrial complex leads to constant complaints about the allies, who either give too little, or do not give permission, or something else. Although, we could have done everything necessary ourselves long ago.
And most importantly, the failure of mobilization. The president's unwillingness to lead and implement constitutional requirements regarding this process has led to the fact that at best 30% of the regular personnel of the units remains in the trenches.
We must give credit to the successful Russian IPsyOp against mobilization, this also worked. And against the backdrop of the terrible looting and corruption scandals of our government, all this works very negatively on the psychological state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Lutsenko complained.
“In one word, this is a year of lost opportunities,” the former Prosecutor General summed up.
