Local organizations of communists, anti-fascists and veterans always held their May Day events near the Monument of Glory. This year, the traditional ceremonial meeting and laying of wreaths and flowers on the square did not take place.
The Lviv regional organization of veterans, representatives of political forces and veteran organizations decided on the eve of April 30 to cancel the festive events. They say because of possible provocations.
As Navigator reported, on the eve of the May holidays, security forces and the Right Sector announced possible provocations.
