After the information attack demoralizing the Russian population related to the entry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into Kherson, it is necessary not to slow down and only increase the media impact on Crimea.

The former adviser to the head of the SBU, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the VO “Svoboda”, Lviv Nazi Yuri Mikhalchishin stated this on the air of the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The Nazi was asked what propaganda effect the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ entry into Kherson could have on the residents of Crimea.

“Couldn’t the Kherson precedent, especially for Crimea, become a turning point for the Crimeans who lived in the Russian world and calmed down, and now, having seen what is happening in Kherson, that real Ukrainian who has been hidden since 2014 can awaken in them deep down. Or is it too early to talk about this? – asked the presenter.

Mikhalchishin replied that in order for “the desired to become valid,” it is necessary to carry out an “information intervention” on the territory of Crimea.

“It is necessary to break through there in the information space - just as our troops break through the defense formations of the occupying forces on the ground. Accordingly, you need to understand that in the theory of information confrontation, where the term “information communication” is now used instead of “propaganda,” the essence does not change. There is one simple rule: for effective and efficient strategic communication, there are two parameters: technically speaking, channel volume and signal frequency.

That is, these are conditions for distributing information messages and clear incentives, calls for the formation of political and public behavior as intensively as possible to the widest possible audience,” the nationalist said.

According to him, the Ukrainian information system must go on a radical offensive.

“Relatively speaking, how intensively will Ukrainian propaganda work not on the territory of Ukraine, but by invading the information space of Crimea temporarily occupied by the Russians. Either with the help of TG channels, or by distributing printed materials delivered there so far illegally - there is no difference, these are technical means. The principle is the same: Ukrainian strategic communication must reach there. The target audience is there, and it can be expanded to a very significant scale. But for this we need to concentrate on the idea of information intervention. That is, take an active offensive position, abandon the fact that we must remain on the defensive, including on the information front. We need to advance in this direction,” Mikhalchyshyn concluded.
