Top officials of the NBU were given subpoenas for questioning in the case of the looting of Ukroboronprom
Today, members of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine were served with subpoenas for questioning in connection with the offshore transfer of Ukroboronprom funds. Former NBU Governor Valeria Gontareva, who is hiding in the UK, was also summoned for questioning, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Ukrainian lawyer and ex-deputy head of the AP Andrey Portnov reported this on his social network page, citing sources of his legal team at the NBU.
According to Portnov, this criminal proceeding concerns the circumstances of the cancellation by the National Bank, at the direction of Petro Poroshenko, of the resolution on currency control of import operations of Ukroboronprom and the lifting of any restrictions on the withdrawal of Ukrainian military assets to foreign jurisdictions.
“In addition to the illegal decisions of NBU functionaries, in this case it should also be studied what exactly the state military concern bought in 2016 in the Seychelles and the UAE for the Ukrainian army,” Portnov added.
