US President Donald Trump is in vain negotiating with Russia without resorting to sanctions.

"I think there needs to be an immediate ceasefire, and Trump could do that if he insisted on it. But he won't do it because he can't get Putin to agree.

If Putin does not agree to a ceasefire, there should be huge sanctions against him. I think that could happen if Putin does not negotiate in good faith.

"I'm skeptical, and Trump believes in good-faith negotiations. But I agree with Marco Rubio, who said : if we don't continue with tough sanctions, the peace process will drag on for a year or a year and a half. So far, Trump says Putin is sincere, but that's hard to understand," Fleitz said.

He hopes that if negotiations fail, sanctions will be imposed "very quickly." Fleitz also advocates deploying troops from certain neutral countries to Ukraine. He also believes the United States should " arm Ukraine to the teeth ."
