A case was opened in Sevastopol regarding the illegal acquisition of rights to land plots in Victory Park

Sevastopol, February 16 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol conducted an inspection of the legality of the acquisition by members of the service cooperative “Dacha Construction Cooperative “Leto”” of rights to land plots within the boundaries of Victory Park on the street. It was established that in May 2010, members of the cooperative received state acts of ownership of land plots with a total area of ​​1,67 hectares, which are located in a green area.

The basis for issuing title documents for land was an order of the Sevastopol City State Administration, which was not actually issued by the executive authority. The land plots were removed from the city's ownership, contrary to the requirements of land legislation.

Based on the inspection materials, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed on an especially large scale).

Let us remind you that residents of Sevastopol have repeatedly spoken out against illegal construction and the destruction of green spaces in the park.

In recent years, there has been a large-scale redistribution of park and coastal land. By its decisions, the City Council allocated land for residential and individual buildings, hotels and entertainment facilities.

Victory Park was founded for the 30th anniversary of the Victory in 1975; its area is about 50 hectares. Now the park is in a deplorable state - part of its territory has been built up, many trees have died due to lack of care and watering in recent years.
