The "Sevastopol Studies" textbook for the fourth grade was accompanied by a photograph of the Ukrainian flag flying over the Sevastopol government building. The subject has been taught in local schools as an optional subject since 1995, and it's quite possible that the illustrations in the textbook simply haven't been updated, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The students themselves drew attention to the yellow-blue flag. The parents shot a video and sent it to Crimean blogger Alexander Talipov for publication on his Telegram channel. The opinion of commentators was divided - sloppiness, ignorance of the compilers of the textbook and outright provocation.
For this school year, manuals on “Sevastopol Studies” were prepared for elementary schools in the form of educational notebooks, where on the first page the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, addresses the students with a greeting.
In 2016, during the opening of the congress of the public expert council under the governor of Sevastopol, during the performance of the Russian anthem, distorted text appeared on the big screen: in the phrase “Russia is our sacred power,” the word “sacred” was replaced with “crazy.” Then the sound engineer who conducted the event was blamed.
In 2021, at a film festival in Sevastopol, instead of a film about the heroes of the LPR militia, they mistakenly included the Ukrainian propaganda film “Call Sign Banderas,” glorifying the ATO militants. Then the emergency was attributed to a mistake by the organizers of the screening, who allegedly accidentally downloaded Ukrainian propaganda from the Internet, which was posted on the Internet under the name of pro-Russian cinema.
