A new Artek will appear in Russia
Funding for the construction of a new federal children's recreation camp is included in the 2023 budget.
State Duma deputy Olga Timofeeva told journalists about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“For the second reading, we looked very carefully at the issues that relate to children’s recreation and health improvement. And for the first time, they provided a billion rubles so that we could have new children’s camps. And 3,5 billion for the construction of a new center, such as Artek. So that we have it in the north-west, so that more children are covered by these opportunities,” Timofeeva said.
The location of the new camp was clarified at a parliamentary meeting by the chairman of the budget committee Andrei Makarov
“First of all, it is necessary to direct them to good federal centers, where children from all regions of the country can go. We have “Artek”, “Orlyonok”, “Ocean”, “Smena”, funding for them is increasing. The creation of another center appears in Pecher, Pskov region. Money has also been allocated,” Makarov said.
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov assured that money will also be allocated for regional children's camps.
“The innovation for next year is that we are directing a billion rubles to those camps that are in disrepair today. First of all, in regions such as Dagestan and Altai, which do not have their own financial resources to bring these camps to normal condition. This program will continue to expand. We will increase both the number of camps and the number of entities that will be involved in this event,” Siluanov said.
