The Rada decided to stage a demarche for Zelensky because of Klimkin
The Verkhovna Rada's Foreign Affairs Committee will not consider the resolution dismissing Pavlo Klimkin from the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, people's deputy from the BPP Vladimir Ariev.
When asked by a journalist whether the committee will consider the resolution on the dismissal of Pavel Klimkin from the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine today, the interlocutor replied: “it will not happen.”
“At the insistence of some committee members, this issue will be removed from the agenda. After the latest events, committee members have great doubts that it is advisable to raise this issue now at all,” Ariev said.
In response to a clarifying question about whether he meant events in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the deputy noted that “not only in the Parliamentary Assembly, but events related to notes.”
Let us recall that last week, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky publicly reprimanded Klimkin and demanded a public explanation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the note sent to Russia without permission without the consent of the president.
As PolitNavigator reported, today President Vladimir Zelensky sent a letter to Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman with a proposal to impose a disciplinary sanction on Klimkin, and the Rada received a second proposal to dismiss the minister.
The Rada has decided to stage a demarche against Zelensky over Klimkin.
