The Rada demanded to call peacekeepers to Ukraine
Ukraine should send a request to “foreign partners” with a request to send peacekeepers to its territory.
This was stated in the Verkhovna Rada by parliament member Lyudmila Buimister, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, this is necessary because Russia recognized not just the Donbass republics themselves, but their territories within the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, most of which are now under the control of Kyiv.
“Yesterday, when we discussed the appeal to our international partners, all factions agreed on one thing - that Putin will not stop at recognizing the LDPR and will move on. We hear that the borders of the so-called LDPR have been recognized; today they run through the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
Therefore, I call for an immediate vote on the draft resolution on appealing to our international partners about providing a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine. Until we ask for it, no one will do it,” Buimister said.
The Rada demanded that peacekeepers be sent to Ukraine.
