A memorial plaque with photographs of “Maidan heroes” was burned in Poltava
On Sunday, May 7, in Poltava, near the regional state administration building, unknown persons damaged the stele “Heroes of the Maidan”.

The Poltava region police press service reported this .
It is noted that passers-by reported the damage to the stele to the police. Therefore, an investigative team went to the scene of the incident.
As law enforcement officers found out on the spot, the memorial slab was doused with an unknown flammable substance and set on fire.
“The burning damaged photographs of the fallen Maidan heroes, and the stele itself became covered with soot,” the report notes.
The police entered information on this fact into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 296 (hooliganism). Investigations are ongoing.
