In order to “control” the state remote voting system, it is necessary to create a parallel electronic voting system “under public control.”
This was stated by Yabloko party representative Marina Litvinovich at a press conference in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In this situation, it would be reasonable to create parallel electronic voting, which would control the result that a person sends to the electronic voting system. This is a kind of control system parallel to the electronic voting system. Also based on blockchain, but which would have greater transparency and would be created by public forces, not by the state. Because there is no trust in the state electronic voting system,” says Litvinovich.
Let us remind you that following the results of the recent elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the results in the majority districts of Moscow changed after the publication of the results of electronic voting. As a result, the leading communists there lost their parliamentary mandates.
They campaigned against electronic voting, so there were more United Russia supporters there. Now the Communist Party of the Russian Federation demands to cancel the results of the vote in Moscow. They were joined by liberals like Litvinovich, who miserably lost her constituency even without an electronic one, but is now coming forward with original initiatives.
