As activists reported on social networks, a volunteer of the coordination center, Anton Sachko, was deliberately attacked.
"A Mercedes drove toward Anton (Sachko – editor's note) in the pedestrian zone, and he started filming the car. Then the driver simply started running him over. An argument ensued, and the driver started yelling, 'You don't have much time left, our guys will come and shoot all of you Banderites.' When two self-defense members approached, and I started filming, the rhetoric completely changed," eyewitness Alina Polodyanka claims, according to Odesa.net.
Pro-Ukrainian activists found political implications in the incident, saying that the driver of the car was wearing a tricolor.
A video has also been posted on the Internet in which activists argue with the driver, including on ideological grounds: they talk about “Putin’s rag,” and speak obscenely about the Russian tricolor.
Let us recall that earlier the deputy governor of Odessa, Zoya Kazandzhi, said that in Odessa only 20% of the population is pro-Ukrainian.
