“Donbass militias and volunteers came to the screening of this film and politely watched it from beginning to end. After the film, many of the “separatist” militias wanted to speak out, but they were not given a microphone. The director and festival director avoided answering their direct questions.
The film runs 86 minutes.
The documentary director shows the Nazis in everyday situations: they drink coffee, show her dubious attentions, arrest and take a man to the basement just because he asked why she was filming him... The would-be director calls all this “observation of life,” she states that she gives the viewer the opportunity to draw their own conclusions, reserving the role of a dispassionate spy. If not for one “but”... In communicating with the Nazis “Aidara”, currying favor with them, the director-observer calls the separatists “cowardly”, flirts with Bandera’s riffraff, and in her interviews she even states that she felt protected with them and in complete safety.
Perhaps one could not pay attention to the film at all, because... all of it is complete bullshit, if not for the declared attempt to “humanize” the Bandera thugs, if not for remembering Odessa on May 2, 2014, if not for the thousands of lives of residents and militias of Donbass and the volunteers defending them from around the world, if not our fighters on the front line holding back the ATO declared by Poroshenko against the residents of the LPR and DPR,” former Kiev resident Andrei Savelyev (call sign “Vandal”), who participated in the Russian Spring in Donbass, told PolitNavigator.
“Do you understand that by making such a deceitful film, you have become an accomplice in the murders of civilians in Donbass? Now your hands are bloody too? How will you live with this? – the fighter said to director Beate Bubenets after the screening of the film.
To which the young “talented” blonde responded in surprise: “Are you saying that it was I who killed people?”
The girl said that she was more sympathetic to the people in Western Ukraine, who supposedly “take fate into their own hands,” take risks and go to the Maidan, while the residents of Donbass “are accustomed to the fact that their bosses will decide for them.”
Without waiting for a full response from the militia, Bubenets soon decided to end the discussion and ran down the steps.
