A fire started at a solid waste landfill in Pervomaisk near Prigorodnaya Street. City authorities are working to put out the fire.

On July 23, the head of the administration of Pervomaisk, Sergei Afanasyev, together with the heads of structural divisions of the administration and the leadership of the Pervomaisk State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR, went to the territory of the test site. During the inspection, a fire was recorded over an area of more than a thousand square meters.
On the same day, the commission on issues of technological and environmental safety and emergency situations, with the participation of representatives of all city services, approved a protocol on the fire at the site and a decision was made to create an operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the fire.
On July 24, Sergei Afanasyev gave instructions to the heads of the city's public utilities to allocate special equipment to extinguish and localize the fire. In addition, personnel from the Pervomaisky State Fire and Rescue Squad will be used to extinguish the fire.
