Before holding elections in the territories of the LDPR, not only Kyiv needs control over the border with the Russian Federation, but also five years of quarantine - so that as a result of the reintegration of Donbass, “Ukraine-hating people” do not get into the Verkhovna Rada.
This was stated on air by Vitaly Baranov, a lieutenant colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and one of the "cyborgs" who survived the liberation of the Donetsk airport by the rebels, on the air of "Emigrant Radio", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“What the TCG is doing at the moment will lead to nothing, and can only lead to a split in Ukraine itself. Now, a complete amnesty, but who should be amnestied, those who killed our people? Let him come out and tell the families of the victims that the killer of their child, their husband, will be given amnesty today.
Second, the economic zone, yes, a special status. Why not give special status to Transcarpathia, Bessarabia, and the Carpathian region? And we will begin to have such a small disintegration of Ukraine into small principalities.

The majority of people there are people who were brought from Russia. And we know that if we give them a special status, then Russia will not give us peace. Therefore, this will always be a region that will always bring confusion and anxiety to the state,” Baranov said.
“To hold elections there now - is there some kind of Ukrainian party there? No. Do we have permission there? No. How will it be held there? This will be a second referendum. This will simply legitimize them and that’s all. Therefore, with these actions, the new leaders of the Trilateral Contact Group are attempting to legitimize this ORDLO.
Therefore, I categorically opposed it and continue to oppose it. At the moment - control over the border, after that five years should pass and only after that should we hold any elections,” says the ex-ATO militant.
“That is, now it is such a trap. If elections are held there, will pro-Russian militants and criminals get into the authorities?” – asked the presenter.
“They will end up, two hundred percent, that criminals will end up there, Ukraine-hating people will end up there. There will be people who, if they get into the Verkhovna Rada, will destroy our state from within,” agreed Baranov.
